The California Dental Assistant Program (CDAP) is a forward-thinking initiative dedicated to providing comprehensive resources for dental assistants, pre-dental students, and other aspiring dental professionals. Position Overview

We are seeking an Information Technology Intern to help manage, optimize, and automate various internal systems and processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in IT, technical support, and automation. The intern will collaborate with our IT and support teams to work on a variety of technical projects related to system management, automation, and data handling.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with data backup, management, and organization, especially related to CRM systems.
• Develop, update, and maintain internal support documentation and articles.
• Contribute to the automation of internal processes, including student ID systems, affiliate code generation, and customer support tools.
• Help with technical setup and maintenance of tools like LastPass, phone systems, and job CRM within Go HighLevel (GHL).
• Support automation and maintenance of fulfillment systems, financial aid applications, and daily data reporting.
• Provide technical assistance to staff and troubleshoot IT-related issues as needed.

Qualifications

Technical Skills:

• Basic knowledge of CRM systems and data management.
• Familiarity with scripting languages or automation tools (e.g., Python, Zapier, etc.).
• Experience with documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, Notion) for creating and updating support articles.
• Understanding of cybersecurity tools (e.g., LastPass) and secure data handling.
• Basic knowledge of phone systems, cloud services, or related IT infrastructure.

Additional Requirements:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and software.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Interest in automation, data management, or educational technology is a plus.

Interview Process

1. Application Review:

   • Candidates will complete a short project, simulating a typical task (e.g., automating a simple process, updating a support article, or troubleshooting a system).
5. Final Interview (30-45 minutes):
   • An interview with the program director or senior team member to discuss fit with our team culture, your long-term goals, and your interest in IT automation and education.
