Position Overview
We are seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst Intern to support our efforts in strengthening and evaluating our cybersecurity measures. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cybersecurity, including working with industry professionals and contributing to security assessments. The intern will collaborate with the IT and security teams to enhance overall security protocols and support ongoing cybersecurity projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate and collaborate with external cybersecurity companies to understand their services and align them with organizational needs.
- Assist in setting up security assessments and evaluations, including vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and risk analysis.
- Help identify and document potential security risks, providing recommendations for mitigation.
- Support the implementation of best practices for data protection, network security, and secure application development.
- Assist in monitoring and analyzing security alerts, logs, and incidents, and report findings to the IT team.
- Contribute to developing security protocols, documentation, and training materials for staff and users.
Qualifications
Technical Skills:
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and tools (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus software).
- Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools and methods (e.g., Nessus, OpenVAS).
- Understanding of network protocols, security frameworks, and best practices for data protection.
- Experience with cybersecurity standards and compliance (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) is a plus.
- Knowledge of cloud security is beneficial.
Additional Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing security risks.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
- A keen interest in information security, ethical hacking, or secure software development.
Interview Process
