Position Overview
We are seeking a Software Development Intern to support the development and enhancement of various software solutions and dashboards that drive student engagement, program management, and performance tracking. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in software development, user interface design, and educational technology. The intern will work with the software team to contribute to a wide range of projects, aiming to improve functionality, interactivity, and overall user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of interactive dashboards for various projects, including CE (Continuing Education) tracking, event campaigns, and social media monitoring.
- Assist in improving the interactivity of course content, integrating features like “Fact of the Day” in the student portal.
- Support the development of software solutions for program improvement planning, affiliate tracking, and event management.
- Help create a 3D Model Campaign, incorporating interactive and visually engaging content.
- Collaborate with the software team to troubleshoot, test, and refine software features, ensuring quality and performance.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to propose new ideas for improving educational tools and software solutions.
Qualifications
Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React) and/or back-end development (Python, Node.js, etc.).
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle, testing, and debugging.
- Knowledge of database management (SQL, MongoDB, etc.) and dashboard frameworks (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience with 3D modeling software or libraries is a plus (e.g., Blender, Three.js).
- Basic experience with GitHub or other version control systems.
Additional Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for building engaging software solutions.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Interest in educational technology, interactive learning, or dashboard development is a plus.
